Culinary Team - Chefs | Expression of Interest (EOI)

The Star signature and casual dining department is seeking expressions of interest for range of culinary professionals who are passionate about great restaurants. Due to the current redevelopment and expansion of our venues we are looking for experienced Chefs to work at The Star Sydney.

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you will engage with guests and proactively seek opportunities to deliver memorable dining experiences, ensuring a fresh, positive and exciting environment where safety, flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service are paramount.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a reputable restaurant operation (preferably five star hotel or similar)
  • Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Industry recognised relevant qualifications

  • Salary ranges as follows
    • Cook / Commis / Demi Chef - The Star Enterprise Agreement hourly rate
    • Junior Sous Chef - $65-74K (inclusive of 9.5% super)
    • Sous Chef - $75-85K (inclusive of 9.5% super)
