What we are looking for

As a Contracts Officer at The Star Entertainment Group your main goal in this position is to bring an operational lens to supplier/vendor contracts within the Hospitality and Property Services portfolio. This will be executed by an understanding of the financial and contractual services provided across the portfolios to ensure the contract requirements are adhered to and the best interests of The Star are maximised.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Support the Contracts Manager as they work with business owners to proactively support key contract deliverables, contract execution, negotiation and administrative support for the Hospitality portfolio
  • As needed, draft correspondence to suppliers to audit adherence to contractual and statutory obligations
  • Assist the Contracts Manager and business owners in the day to day management of the Hospitality and Property Services contract portfolio which will include supporting contract interpretation and promotion of the contract management function in fulfilling business requirements
  • Coordinate with the Contracts Manager to drive regular meetings with external suppliers and business owners to ensure effective relationships and communication channels are maintained
  • Work with the Star Entertainment Group Procurement team to support the Contracts Manager in the initiation of contractual changes and updates  
  • Assist with current contracts for all supplier relationships and a proactive renegotiation/review schedule in place with the Procurement team


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous 2-3 years experience within a Contracts Officer, Procurement or Supply Chain role
  • Experience in Hospitality sector, possibly in supervisory or management capacity is ideal
  • Understanding of supplier vendor relationships within Hospitality sector
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong relationship building skills
