Join our team as the Project Coordinator at The Star Brisbane.

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city. 

The Project Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager Food & Beverage and Events and offers an exceptional opportunity to plan, develop, and execute project phases for The Star Brisbane whilst providing comprehensive administrative support to coordinate the team. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for food & beverage.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the food & beverage team by tracking plans and project deadlines, ensuring tasks and responsibilities are actioned, and producing relevant reports and presentations.
  • Liaises with the project managers and the operations teams to minimise impact on the business whilst ensuring project deadlines are upheld. 
  • Build strong relationships with all parties impacted / involved with the preopening of the Star Brisbane capital project developments. 
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of the project management governance processes, operating techniques, and develop and implement new methods to maximise efficiency, ensuring the quality of services are maintained at all times. 

What we will be looking for

  • Experience with project administration platforms and automated financial systems and raising purchase orders.
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft office programmes.   
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail. 

About you

You will be a confident communicator, capable of high levels of exposure and interaction with executive management. You have previous experience in project administration, ideally in the property development or hospitality industry, and are competent in various administrative tasks.
