As a Safety and Security Officer, you will be joining a large high performing team that values safety and takes pride in their work. The team is responsible for providing a welcoming, friendly and safe environment for all employees, visitors and guests of The Star Gold Coast. You will be required to conduct patrols of the property as well as report any security related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences or activities, whilst monitoring the entry of people to the site and providing information and assistance to guests as required. 

Interviews are set to be held early January 2025 with successful applicants commencing mid-February 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your dedicated asset protection and customer service skills throughout our property at The Star Gold Coast.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and property
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and disturbances when required
  • Document and report security related incidents, accidents and violations in accordance with internal protocols
  • Monitor access into restricted areas at The Star Gold Coast

What are we looking for:

  • Qualifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol, QLD Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations, including a Crowd Control module & Current Senior First Aid Certificate, including CPR module - essential
  • Previous experience in high volume crowd control - highly regarded
  • A high standard of grooming with a professional appearance 
  • Physically capable and have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster
