Our properties across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Sydney are world-class destinations featuring award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR leader to join us as Head of People Partnerships and Projects at The Star Sydney.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, you will lead the Sydney People Partnerships and Projects team to deliver strategic and operational people initiatives that align with business objectives. This includes partnering with senior leaders, driving cultural transformation projects, and overseeing key programs such as performance reviews, learning and development, and recognition initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the TSEG and TSS People Plan and cyclical HR activities.
- Drive major projects including cultural transformation, decentralisation, and remediation initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on complex Employee and Industrial Relations matters, including EA negotiations.
- Oversee learning, development, and recognition programs, including Welcome Days and Star Gala Awards.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally to support strategic business goals.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Development, or Psychology.
- Experience in HR senior leadership roles.
- Expertise in organisational change, talent management, cultural transformation, and project delivery.
- Strong ability to influence, coach, and build relationships with senior leaders.
- Experience in regulated environments with Enterprise Agreements and union engagement.
- Hospitality, retail, or casino industry experience highly regarded.
