What we are looking for

As a Payroll Systems Analyst your main responsibility will be system administration, maintenance, configuration and supporting payroll systems. You will also be responsible for trend reporting, analysis, and metrics to ensure continuous improvement and maximum system utilisation.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Gather business requirements by engaging with different stakeholders for a new pay element creation, test a new pay element performance once it’s created by vendor (Oracle)
  • Create testing scenarios to ensure all aspects of payroll processes are covered (batch upload, leave absences and accrual impact, etc.)
  • Test pay elements in UAT environment and sign off for deployment in production
  • Perform regular audits to ensure the availability of complete and accurate system data and reports
  • Responsible for ensuring system processes are operating according to established schedules and procedures
  • Serve as Payroll contact with various departments throughout the company, and external to the company for activities including system updates, conversions, and reporting
  • Coordinate activities with IT, Payroll, Finance and People & Performance to ensure timely and accurate flow of information
  • Proactively assess the system needs of the Payroll department and identify, analyse, and recommend business process and/or system enhancements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5+ years previous Payroll experience
  • 2+ years previous experience with Oracle
  • Experience in a high volume Payroll environment (1000+)
  • Strong computer skills especially in Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding of relevant laws and legislation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with both an autonomous and a team player attitude
