If you are passionate about customer service, we welcome your application for a casual Event Assistant (Food & Beverage) role.

 

About the role!

Our casual Event Assistants never get bored - this is a varied and fun hospitality role.  Our events can range from small private meetings to very large gala dinners, exhibitions, product sales, concerts and sporting events.  There is plenty of scope to meet wonderful people, gain experience in the hospitality and event industry and shape a fantastic career.   Some of the tasks you could be involved in as an Event Assistant include:

  • food and beverage service
  • room set up
  • barista and 
  • ushering

Regardless of the specific role you are assigned to for each event you will be actively involved in delivering a memorable experience for our clients.

About you!

To be a successful Event Assistant at the GCCEC you must possess:

  • customer service experience
    • in a food and beverage role, OR
    • in a retail environment
  • we provide full training, so what matters most is your passion for customer service!
  • a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate, and
  • TAFE Covid Safe for Dining In Micro-credential accessed for free online through  https://tafeqld.edu.au/covid-safe

You will also be impeccably presented, a natural communicator, be engaging, energetic, friendly and available to work a variety of shifts between Monday to Sunday, days and nights. 

 

About the roster and hours of work:

Being a casual role within the hospitality industry, hours of work are determined by the nature of our events, as such there is no set number of hours per week or set days.
