About the role!
The Logistics role is a ‘general duties’ position which supports the setup, pack down & equipment movement for Events at The Star Gold Coast!
In this role you will be setting, servicing and breaking down rooms for all types of events. Specifically, this could include setting up and breaking down tables, bars, drink stations, buffets, stages, various floor coverings, walls, curtains, partitions and retractable seating.
This is a physical role, therefore the main criteria for this role is energy, enthusiasm and physical fitness. You will need to possess a ‘can do attitude’, have the ability to work under pressure to demanding time frames, have attention to detail, be customer focused and be available to work a variety of shifts between Monday to Sunday.
Experience in a similar role and environment will be highly regarded, however candidates that are energetic, hardworking and are eager to learn will be considered.
We are specifically looking for people who have:
- Experience following correct Manual Handling procedures
- Ability to work with a team and communicate efficiently
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Understanding of Safe work practices and the ability follow procedures and processes
- Previous experience working with pallet jacks (advantageous but not required)
- A current Forklift Licence (advantageous but not required)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement of Attainment
