What we are looking for

Our Culinary Team is currently seeking a passionate Assistant Sous Chef to be part of their successful kitchen brigade.

Key responsibilities in the role include but are not limited to:

  • Produce food items to the highest possible standards as per established menu plans and recipes – in accordance with appropriate outlet specifications
  • Plan kitchens for food production, organise and ensure smooth workflow
  • Balance operational efficiency, customer service levels and wage cost as per budget  
  • Responsible for all communication in the area of responsibility (including daily staff briefings and follow up)
  • Solve problems and make decisions for the effective operation of the outlet

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Culinary qualifications (Commercial Cookery Cert III or equivalent) and prior experience as an Assistant Sous Chef or Demi Chef
  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
  • The ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate and work as part of the team
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster
  • A skillful chef who takes pride in delivering a memorable product with attention to detail
