As our Audio Visual Supervisor within the Entertainment Department, reporting to the Casino Technical Manager, you will coordinate the installation, set up, supervision and maintenance of audio-visual production and AV technology across The Star Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will deliver on-property general entertainment, Gaming support, Hotel in-room AV technology, Property wide activations, Events, Campaigns and more!

A few of your responsibilities:   

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure all AV requirements are captured and delivered on time, within budget and with a high standard of expertise
  • Provide written quotations to internal departments for equipment and labour supplied to meet production specifications, and ensure these costs are recouped monthly
  • Confirm all AV equipment is maintained and upgraded/repaired as required
  • Roster and supervise a highly skilled team of Audio-Visual Technicians
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation and responsibilities of the Audio Visual team
  • Coordinate all lighting, sound and audio technical requirements for events and entertainment; supervise successful delivery by the AV team
  • Monitor the setup, operation, and maintenance of all onsite audio-visual equipment
  • Management of the property AV systems including: audio and video over IP distribution platforms, and Hotel in-room technology· Provide internal training to the wider team to complete their day-to-day responsibilities

What we are looking for:   

  • Experience working within a large, in-house AV team
  • Technical certificate in audio visual
  • Ability to discuss technical industry requirements in lighting, sound, audiovisual, safety and procurement (Technical Certificate/s also ideal)
  • Experience in event production and operation
  • In-depth experience working with audio, video, and lighting over IP platforms such as: Q-SYS, Dante, IPTV, SCALA, Amino, Grand MA · Excellent communications skills and a team player
  • Team management experience
  • Experience with In-house and corporate production management
