MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city. 

The Marketing Communications Executive will be a 6-month contract reporting directly to the Marketing Communications Manager and offers an extraordinary opportunity to bring a new kind of luxury destination to life, with extraordinary brands and experiences around every corner. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new for The Star Brisbane.

 

A few of your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project-based marketing and communications plans
  • Grow and develop network of media contacts, responding to media enquiries, delivering to deadlines and facilitating onsite media opportunities as required
  • Drive influencer outreach and engagement
  • Maintain a keen interest in local, national and international news and emerging media
  • Brief and collaborate with external agencies for pre-opening and launch activity

 

What we will be looking for

  • Experience gained in a consumer-facing communications or public relations role   

  • Degree in Business with a specialisation in Public Relations, Media, Communications, or a closely related field.   

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills is essential  

  • Understanding of the media landscape and passion for PR / influencer marketing  

  • Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying media opportunities, developing necessary assets, delivering to deadlines and securing coverage

You are a motivated and passionate team player with a strong news sense, an established network and a thorough understanding of the evolving media and social landscape.

 

You will support the planning and execution of consumer-facing communications plans across The Star Brisbane's go-to-market activity while ensuring activities comply with statutory requirements and company policy.
