ENTERTAINMENT MANAGER – FOOD & BEVERAGE

Join our team as the Entertainment Manager at The Star Brisbane.   

Our breathtaking resort, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will commence a staged opening in 2024, bringing a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre to the river city.  

The Entertainment Manager role reports directly to the Resort Technical Manager and plays a key role in managing and booking both local and international artists across The Star Brisbane’s venues. You will be responsible for aligning the entertainment strategy of the company. You will use your understanding of current entertainment trends to drive visitation to each of The Star Brisbane’s bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues based on their differentiated customer segments.

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Establish an entertainment strategy for The Star Brisbane aligned to each venue proposition 
  • Manage The Star Brisbane’s entertainment contracts and schedule or book all local and international talent as required  
  • Assist in entertainment Marketing communications, Partnerships and Activations for The Star Brisbane, on a weekly basis 
  • Build and manage relationships with local and international talent and their respective agents 
  • Plan and coordinate entertainment scheduling for our bars, restaurants and venues across the precinct

What we will be looking for: 

  • Experience in coordinating and working with local and international talent in the entertainment industry 
  • Previous experience within the music and entertainment industry, ideally across positions aligned to booking, coordination or management of artists and talent  
  • Previous experience promoting or marketing live music events or venues 
  • Experience in sourcing and securing new and emerging artists  
  • Understanding of current live music trends in the Southeast Queensland market within a wide range of customer segments and demographics 
  • High levels of attention to detail and strong passion for growth

You will need to have demonstrated experience in the entertainment industry with a strong passion for finding both local and international talent. You will use your prior experience to maintain connections and actively manage talent, both experienced and emerging
