Workforce Planning Senior Advisor – Workforce Management

As our Workforce Planning Senior Advisor, reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, you will lead the publication and management of all operational rosters, ensuring a balance between business cost, productivity, and operational stability.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Lead a close team of Planners and Schedulers to partner with business stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality rostering processes and methodologies with a focus on compliance, optimisation, equity, cost and work/life balance.
  • Manage absenteeism, annual leave and time and attendance to develop T&A and rostering procedures. You’ll ensure the integrity of the operations, quality service standards, and adherence to Enterprise Agreements and other Awards.
  • Chair the roster handover meetings with the business to ensure full visibility into the roster publication process.
  • Using your knowledge of wage compliance and industry awards (i.e., HIGA), coach and develop your team to ensure high performance.
  • Ensure the team production of all daily reports, leave requests and changes to ensure information is accurately recorded in systems and is per The Star Enterprise Agreements and other industrial instruments, Policy and Procedures.

 

What we will be looking for:

  • Proven experience leading teams and knowledge of rostering systems (Virtual Rosters).
  • Excellent communication and presentation to provide workforce advisory services to senior/executive business leaders.
  • 4+ years of resource rostering in a high-volume organisation; and industry background in casinos, hospitality and/or transport advantageous.
  • Previous experience in process improvement and applied knowledge of wage compliance and industrial instruments (i.e., HIGA, Modern Awards).
