The Surveillance Duty Manager reports directly to the Surveillance Operations Manager and is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day Surveillance Monitor Room operation is managed professionally and efficiently and within compliance of company and department policies, procedures and regulation as well as relevant legislation.

The successful applicant will assist in guiding the team toward achieving all departmental and company goals.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Oversee the training and career development programs for surveillance personnel, identifying operational training needs and implementing induction and self-paced training aligned with departmental goals and best practices.
  • Collaborate in developing and implementing strategies to boost employee morale, promote excellent customer service standards, and increase productivity within the surveillance team.
  • Support the Director of Surveillance in formulating and executing the departmental business plan and achieving its objectives.
  • Lead the surveillance team, emphasising the importance of maintaining integrity and minimising illegal or undesirable activities within the premises.

What we will be looking for:

  • Previous management experience in a casino monitor room environment
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, investigate and provide analysis to senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team to ensure a high standard of work output and service
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Casino Games & detailed Game Protection knowledge on Cheating, Scams, Collusion, Advantage Play & Theft

With your exceptional attention to detail and surveillance background, you will take pride in upholding our compliance and regulatory requirements. Your ability to work collaboratively with a large and diverse team will set our Surveillance team up for success. Effective communication and influencing strategies across multiple stakeholder streams will also be ideal. 

Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Surveillance operations at The Star Sydney.
