As our Employee Relations Compliance Specialist reporting to the Employee Relations Compliance Manager, you will assist in the development and implementation of a robust compliance strategy and framework for Employee Relations and Industrial Relations at The Star specifically across wage and entitlement compliance.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will provide specialist advice and support on employees relations and industrial relations compliance concerns and provide valuable input on various management strategies.

 

A few of your responsibilities

  • Support the wage & entitlement compliance program by providing the data experts with key industrial relations interpretation and application advice
  • Provide specialist compliance support to the Employee Relations Consultancy team
  • Lead and support employee relations/industrial relations compliance projects
  • Ensure application of and compliance with internal policies, procedures and adherence to relevant industrial laws and industrial instruments as relates to payroll, FW Act, EA’s, Awards, immigration and other regulatory requirements
  • Provide advice and support on Industrial Instrument compliance, interpretation and implementation

 

What we are looking for

  • Experience in employee relations and/or industrial relations in-house or employer association/law firm providing workplace relations advice
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant workplace legislation, regulations, awards and enterprise agreements
  • Undergraduate degree in law, business or human resources or related discipline with a key focus on employment and industrial relations.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and ability to work effectively with limited direct supervision.

 

You are a seasoned Employee Relations professional with a great understanding and practical experience in case management for wage compliance topics. You have the ability to work within high-volume environments and excel in using industrial instruments to build your workplace relations advice and reports.
