As the Assistant Restaurant Manager for Nineteen at The Star, you are a pro-active and enthusiastic individual who is an expert within leading a premium dining venue. In this role you will assist with the day–to-day operation of the venue providing effective management of a dynamic team.  

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your food and beverage leadership and customer service skills throughout our property at The Star Gold Coast. 

The Venue: 

Located at the top of The Darling, Nineteen at The Star is a premier dining destination offering an exceptional contemporary restaurant experience. Our venue is renowned for its sophisticated ambience and its breathtaking views of the Gold Coast skyline. 

At Nineteen, our team prides itself on providing a sophisticated ambience alongside a diverse menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. 

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a high level of guest focus in all services, ensuring that guest service delivery is effective and efficient  

  • Oversee operational functions that include rostering requirements, standard operating procedures, training and performance management  

  • Ensure compliance with the Responsible Service of Alcohol and relevant provisions of the Liquor Act  

  • Assist with the selection, training and development of the team to ensure timely recruitment and career growth opportunities  

  • Assist the Venue Manager to achieve operational and financial targets 

What are we looking for: 

  • Food & Beverage leadership experience with a thorough knowledge of food and beverages 

  • A passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and leading operational teams to deliver great guest experiences  

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests and team members  

  • Highly organised, accountable, and eager, with a high attention to detail  

  • Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol – RMLV/Approved Manager an advantage
