Join us as a Senior Surveillance Operator at Treasury Brisbane and The Star Brisbane. 

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.  
 
In your role you will initially have the opportunity to work across Treasury Brisbane whilst being involved in the opening of The Star Brisbane. 

Reporting directly to the Surveillance Shift Manager, the Senior Surveillance Operator will  
provide leadership, motivation, coaching and direction for team members to meet departmental objectives, as well as assist the Surveillance Shift Manager in managing monitor room operations. 

A few of your responsibilities 

  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies, procedures and standards and immediately report any violations to the Surveillance Duty Manager.  

  • Report on activities that potentially pose a threat to the integrity of the operations and casino statutory obligations.  

  • Review CCTV footage to resolve all gaming inquiries and disputes from internal and external customers.  

  • Audit and review team member reports and tasks to ensure compliance with  reporting standards and SOPs  

  • Assist with the training and career development of team members.  

What we are looking for  

• Comprehensive knowledge of Casino Games  

• Demonstrated casino Surveillance experience   

• Current QLD Key Employee Licence  

• Strong skills in IT systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Casino Management System (Synkros), Game Connect, Protecht, CID  

• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and organisational rules, policies and procedures including Casino Control Act & Regulations

The Senior Surveillance Operator will identify, record, investigate and report threats to casino revenue, safety of persons, illegal/undesirable activity and the integrity of gaming operations in an efficient and effective manner.
