As our Events Executive, reporting to the Events Manager, you will complete the operation requirements of both internal and external business along with private event functions and gaming tournaments, ensuring compliance with organisational objectives. You will process all event bookings from handover (from internal clients) to end, consulting with the client throughout the process and promoting positive customer relations through the provision of excellent service, a courteous attitude and work efficiency.

A few of your responsibilities
- Manage and lead all corporate events from start to finish.
- Proactively seek opportunities to bring new clients and promote our brand offerings.
- Responsibility for all event needs, collaborating closely with relevant internal departments and suppliers to deliver a legendary guest experience.
- Maintain a guest focus on all services, ensuring that the delivery is timely, effective, and efficient.
- Improve guest service through the effective management of costs and service execution of each event.
What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are desirable.
- Delphi experience is essential.
- CAD & Opera experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability in Event Management, ideally within a reputable hospitality industry.
- Previous Food & Beverage experience in a Hotel, Convention Centre, Banquet Venue or Stadium preferred.
- Valid RSA and understanding of the NSW Liquor Licensing laws and regulations, is essential.
- Managing events that range in size from 12 pax to over 3000 pax.
Applicant must have availability to work a rotating roster, including weekend and evening hours where required.

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. As our Revenue Manager reporting to the Head of Revenue & Distribution, you will implement Rate and Inventory strategies to ensure all properties have the right rates sold through the right channels at the right time across all distribution channels.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will have the chance to be part of the team setting the hotel strategy in collaboration with the Senior leadership team.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Revenue & Distribution to implement the required policies and procedure documents as they relate to revenue management principles and practices.
- Ensure that all revenue management strategies are communicated to property General Managers, and reservation sales teams; ensure all property revenue management strategies are implemented, maintained and measured.
- Work closely with Property General Managers on all aspects of revenue maximisation across all distribution channels.
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly statistics and monitor trends utilising company reports.
- Have a clear understanding of all revenue related statistics of all our properties; i.e. Competitor trends and statistics; Average Length of Stay, Average Lead Time of reservations and cancellations, allotment materialisation by room type and agent, pick up trends by market segment and price demand by season and market segment.
