As our Specialty Chef in Uncle Su restaurant, you will support our Executive Chef, Song Su and assist with leading the team, always ensuring consistency in high quality product and service standards.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Monitoring of daily operations, payroll, costs, and guest satisfaction
- Participate in preparation of menus
- Assist with rostering and leave applications
- Develop training plans and support daily learning
- Participate in shift briefings to ensure a smooth handover
What are we looking for:
- Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or large restaurant
- Previous experience in a high-quality Chinese restaurant (essential)
- Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
- Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
- Previous knowledge of food and labour cost controls
- A warm, naturally engaging personality that takes pride in delivering a memorable product
- Full working rights to commit to 40 hours a week which can include day shifts, evenings, weekend and public holidays
