Join our team as a Property Operations Technician (Carpenter) at The Star Brisbane.  

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Property Operations Technician (Carpenter) reports directly to the Property Operations Assistant Manager and will be repairing and maintaining all building finishes & joinery throughout our Casino, Hotels, Restaurants & Bars. In addition to this, The Property Operations Technician will occasionally be required to attend works outside of their trade in order to assist other team members, providing an excellent opportunity to diversify their skillset! This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for Property Operations. 

A few of your responsibilities  

  • Commissioning and testing of assets
  • Assisting with relocation of assets across property
  • Preventative maintenance on Table games assets
  • Reporting and documenting work through building maintenance software

What we will be looking for 

  • Carpentry Trade Qualifications or equivalent
  • Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays as required)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as you work with a diverse team
  • Strong teamwork capabilities

About you 

The ideal candidate will be a trade certified Carpenter with the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.  The successful candidate will take pride in their work and will assist supervisors in ensuring the highest standard of production and efficiency.
