Join our team as the Booking Coordinator at The Star Brisbane.

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Booking Coordinator reports directly to the Celebrations Manager and offers an incredible opportunity to coordinate and manage group booking at our dining venues across property, whilst providing administrative and event support.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Accurately receive and record reservations requests and general enquiries if required in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Provide administrative support including handling of incoming and outgoing mail, internal paperwork, invoice management through internal systems, database management, and other office duties such as collating documents / archiving and arranging courier requirements.
  • Monitor advance deposits for group bookings ensuring that recording of the deposits is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain a customer focus at all times, ensuring that customer service delivery is timely, effective and efficient and that it meets both the customer’s (internal and external) needs and corporate standards.

You will bring previous experience demonstrating administrative abilities in a fast-paced environment and can build trust and teamwork to facilitate strong customer culture. You will have strong communication skills and always maintain a customer focus. You will be someone that can keep their cool, think on their feet and find creative solutions to unexpected situations as they arise. The Star is all about creating memorable guest experiences and as such customer service will be key.
