Join our team as the Night Manager for The Star Grand.  

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city. 

The Night Manager, reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager, provides the opportunity to lead the Hotel night shift team. This role involves inspiring the team to deliver first-class service and create memorable guest moments. You will assist the Assistant Front Office Manager in accomplishing the department's goals while nurturing and fostering the team's growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for hotels.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Lead the night shift operations, including team training, development and performance management
  • Investigate guest queries and concerns with a diplomatic and empathetic approach
  • Clearly demonstrate our commitment to service excellence, ensuring flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service are paramount
  • Encourage and demonstrate a positive working relationship across all departments
  • Ensure records across guest and financial details are accurately maintained

What we will be looking for

  • Previous leadership experience in hotel management
  • Experience in Opera PMS will be advantageous
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality management is advantageous
  • Strong organisation and time management skills

About you

You will be an experienced hotel professional with leadership experience and familiarity utilising Opera PMS. You will be highly passionate about delivering guest excellence and have demonstrated experience in developing teams to success. You will bring a collaborative and welcoming mindset and understand the importance of embedding this culture within your team.

You will lead the team through change as well as have a demonstrated understanding of relevant industry regulatory requirements with experience embedding these requirements as part of your ways of working.
