The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Cashier Services Supervisor reports directly to the Cashier Services Duty Manager and is responsible for the supervision of Cashiers and assisting in day-to-day co-ordination and operation of the Casino Cages and Keno.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with the System of Accounting and Internal Control, Casino Control Act 1982 and associated Regulations
- Assist in Premium Group buy-ins and settlements in accordance with relevant procedures
- Handle conflict and difficult guest service situations as required
- Assisting the Cashier Services Duty Manager in accounting for the entire inventory, including local and foreign currency, coin, cheques, chips, documents and records
- Confirming patron funds as they are deposited into our bank account, or verification of bank cheques
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Cashier
- Previous Supervisory experience, advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of Casino Cage procedures
- Knowledge of the compliance requirements relating to the Casino Control Act 1982 and associated legislation
About you:
To succeed in this position, you’ll need a minimum of two years’ experience as a cashier, strong knowledge of casino cage procedures, and ideally, prior supervisory experience. Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance are essential.
