Join our team as a Night Porter at The Star Brisbane.   

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Night Porter, reporting to the Chief Concierge, is the primary point of contact for our valued guests and visitors during the night shift. Your role will be diverse, from delivering luggage to guest rooms and parking or retrieving vehicles, to offering insights on local attractions and events to our guests.  

A few of your responsibilities 

  • Transport, deliver and store luggage as required by guests  
  • Respond to hotel guest needs, assist with all guest enquires at Concierge including areas of Tour & Restaurant Reservations, Tourist Information & general enquiries in a fast, friendly & professional manner
  • Ensure safety and security of all guests and report any irregularities and unusual incidents
  • Provide the highest standard of service to guests within Concierge and ensure smooth flow for all arrivals and departures of guests and hotel guests
  • Park and collect guest / patrons’ vehicles promptly and without damage  
  • Ensure current familiarity with hotel, including guest rooms, restaurants, bars, convention and casino.

What we will be looking for 

  • Valid driver's licence
  • Demonstrated five/four-star hotel experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • A thorough knowledge of Brisbane area, including the local community and its surroundings
  • The ability to work across the night shift 22:30-06:30 (10:30pm - 6:30am)

We are seeking dedicated individuals who have a sincere appreciation to deliver exceptional customer service. As a Night Porter with The Star Brisbane, you will have prior experience in a similar role and hold a valid driver’s license.  

The ideal candidate will have exceptional presentation and communications skills, while possessing a vast knowledge of the Brisbane area.
