Join our team as an Event Logistics Team Member at The Star Brisbane.    

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.   

As an Event Logistics Team Member, your role will support the setup, pack down and equipment movement for Events throughout the property. You will be responsible for setting up and packing down tables, bars, drink stations, buffets, stages, various floor coverings, walls and curtains to ensure that every aspect of our events runs smoothly and is set up for success. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills and knowledge to the test and deliver a thrilling new era for events. 

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all equipment setup/pack-up for our world-class events, including dinners, tradeshows, theatres, and parties.  
  • Tables, chairs, buffets and other setups related to the event.  
  • Facility all inbound and outbound freight and deliveries within the Event Spaces. 
  • Responsible for operating specialised equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, and Walkie Stacker, to transport our large-scale items from the loading dock to the event locations.  
  • Maintain our warehouse and storage rooms and back-of-house areas.   
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any issues that might arise and problem-solve to the best of your ability. 

What we will be looking for 

  • Previous experience in event logistics or a warehouse is advantageous. 
  • An understanding of safe work practices and the ability follow procedures and processes.
  • A current Forklift Licence (this is advantageous but not required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol. 
  • Availability to work 20-25 hours per week on a casual basis.
