As a Financial Crime Advisory Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Crime Advisory, you will be assisting in the provision of Financial Crime advice across The Star Entertainment Group, designing and delivering high quality AML/CTF training while supporting the business in the interpretation and application of Financial Crime policies and procedures.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Financial Crime Advisory team to contribute to proactively identifying process enhancement opportunities, providing advice and guidance to business and Financial Crime Operations teams and further driving a financial crime risk awareness culture.
A few of your responsibilities
- Support the Senior Manager, Financial Crime Advisory in the provision of AML/CTF advice across The Star Entertainment Group.
- Assist the business in the interpretation and implementation of Financial Crime policies and standards.
- Research and engage with industry and regulatory guidance to maintain a working knowledge of current and emerging financial crime risks and market leading practices employed in managing and mitigating risk.
- Attend and contribute to relevant Financial Crime working groups.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements, innovation and the use of best practice to drive continuous improvement.
- As needed, provide support to other Line 2 Financial Crime functions, under the direction of the Senior Manager Financial Crime Advisory and/or Head of Financial Crime Policy, Risk Assessments & Advisory.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated experience in a Financial Crime compliance or risk management role in a casino / gaming or financial services environment, consulting firm or a compliance management role within a regulatory compliance agency.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- A track record of timely project delivery, overcoming hurdles and complex issues.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide detailed reports and presentations.
You are a seasoned professional having extensive experience across Financial Crime Advisory or Compliance that possesses advanced analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to navigate deadlines in a timely manner with the ability to work autonomously. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills are critical for success in this position.
