We’re looking for an Events Administration Assistant to join The Star Brisbane, a world-class hospitality destination in the heart of the city.

As the Events Administration Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, customer service–oriented administrative assistance, working closely with key stakeholders across food & beverage. If you excel in high-level administrative tasks such as managing profit and loss reports, processing purchase orders, and other ad-hoc administrative duties, and you're looking to play a key role in delivering seamless event operations — we’d love to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant experience in providing high level administrative support.  
  • A high standard of personal and professional presentation  
  • Proven skills in using Microsoft office programmes, word, spreadsheets and presentation software packages.  
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and present information in a meaningful manner.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
  • Experience in Hospitality, Food and Beverage is highly desirable.  

A few of your responsibilities:  

  • Provide administrative support including handling of incoming and outgoing mail, internal paperwork to support the Events Director. 
  • Coordinating and supporting the events team with account management within the events centre. 
  • Prepare confidential documents for company presentations and discussions, collect data, and compile ad-hoc and monthly reports for key stakeholders.  
  • Document accurate minutes at meetings and distribute minutes of the meeting in a timely manner to all relevant parties 
  • Responsible for the coordinated bookings for events The Star Brisbane organises, including ticket sales, floor plans, guest liaison and organising any special requirements.
