Join The Star Gold Coast as a Safety and Security Officer and you will be part of a professional team dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all employees, visitors, and guests. In this role, you will patrol assigned areas, respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, document and report security-related matters in line with internal protocols, and oversee access to restricted areas, all while demonstrating strong asset protection and customer service skills across the property.

This is a casual position, with successful applicants commencing on 8th September 2026. Full-time availability is required for the initial two-week training period, followed by flexible availability to meet ongoing business requirements post-training.

What we are looking for

  • Qualifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol, QLD Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations, including a Crowd Control module & Current Senior First Aid Certificate, including CPR module – essential
  • Previous experience in high volume crowd control - highly regarded
  • A high standard of grooming with a professional appearance
  • Physically capable and have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts including nights and weekends
