As Director of Property Operations, you will report to the General Manager of Asset Protection and play a key role in the ongoing development of The Star Sydney, overseeing projects from concept, design, and planning through to construction and ongoing facility services operations. You will also manage and operate the property portfolio, with a strong focus on master planning and the design delivery of large-scale property projects to maximise growth and returns.

A few of your responsibilities
- Manage the on-site delivery of capital projects, ensuring timelines, cost, quality standards, and contractual requirements are met
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for key stakeholders, including Property Leadership, senior executives, Centres of Excellence, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and end users
- Partner with Property Development teams to support project managers in delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
- Serve as the key interface between Property Services and Property Development, providing expert advice and operational support throughout project delivery
- Develop and manage annual operational and capital budgets and forecasts, ensuring expenditure remains within budget and variances are clearly explained
- Oversee procurement of materials and services to meet operational, commercial, and budgetary requirements
- Lead all preventive and corrective maintenance works across The Star Sydney, ensuring performance targets and operational standards are achieved
What we will be looking for
- Proven success leading the planning, development, and delivery of capital works programs, ideally within the hospitality and leisure sector
- Demonstrated experience delivering property development projects
- Strong people leadership experience, including leading and developing teams
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders in a matrix environment, as well as external partners, including joint venture partners
About you
You are an experienced and commercially minded property leader with a proven track record delivering complex capital works and property development projects within large, operational environments.
You bring strong expertise across the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and ongoing facilities operations and are skilled at balancing operational excellence with long-term asset strategy.
