As a People Partner reporting to the Senior Manager, People Partnerships, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor and coach to senior and operational leaders, driving business performance through strong people leadership, organisational capability, and informed workforce decision‑making.

As the key liaison between the business and the People & Culture function, the People Partner strengthens leader capability, shapes people‑related decisions, and ensures the successful delivery of the People Plan, enhancing culture and positioning The Star Sydney as an employer of choice.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with senior and mid‑level leaders to deliver people and culture outcomes aligned to business strategy
  • Act as a trusted advisor, influencing leadership decisions with practical, commercially focused people advice
  • Partner with leaders to proactively plan for workforce needs in a changing operating environment
  • Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, role changes, and workforce transitions
  • Coach leaders to strengthen accountability, performance, engagement, and people leadership capability
  • Provide clear, data‑driven people insights to inform business and People & Culture decisions

What we are looking for: 

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
  • Solid depth of experience (typically 5+ years) in a broad HR generalist environment
  • A proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor to senior and executive-level leaders
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge and coach
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills

You are a confident HR generalist with a strong professional foundation and the capability to partner meaningfully with leaders. With a relevant tertiary qualification and solid experience across the full employee lifecycle, you bring practical insight and sound judgement to people matters.

You’re comfortable engaging with senior and executive leaders, building trusted relationships and providing clear, considered advice. Proactive by nature, you’re known for your ability to influence and challenge constructively, solve problems pragmatically, and take ownership of outcomes.
