The Investigations Officer, reporting to the Investigations Manager, will support the effective delivery of investigations at The Star Sydney by providing administrative support, coordinating regulatory reporting, and assisting with operational activities.

A few of your responsibilities
- Support internal and external investigations by coordinating documentation, records, and operational requirements as directed
- Conduct end to end investigations into serious misconduct by employees and/or patrons, inclusive of interviewing and report writing
- Prepare and submit daily and periodic regulatory reports to NSW regulators and law enforcement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and manage regulatory, law enforcement and other external stakeholder engagement
- Maintain complete, current, and audit-ready investigation files within approved case management systems
- Prepare agendas, documentation, and correspondence for Reportability Committee and governance meetings
- Track investigation actions, deadlines, and regulator requests, escalating risks or delays as needed
- Assist with responses to regulatory notices (including Section 21 Notices) and ad hoc enquiries
- Support employee probity checks and related investigation administration
- Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information
What we will be looking for
- Qualified Investigator with minimum Certificate IV in Govt Investigations
- Extensive law enforcement or similar experience
- Casino/gaming exposure desirable
- Strong understanding of statutory and reporting requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You are an experienced investigations professional with a strong background in law enforcement or other significant investigations background and a thorough understanding of regulatory environments. You bring a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability, with the ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion.
You’re confident working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external parties.
