As our Trust Accounts Officer, you will ensure all trust monies are handled with accuracy, transparency, and full compliance with Queensland legislation. Working closely with our finance, property management, and letting teams, you’ll help maintain the highest standards of accountability while supporting smooth, efficient operations across our properties.

This role supports a substantial letting pool of approximately 400 short- and long-term keys across two premium residential towers and is backed by an experienced property management and finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a key role in safeguarding financial integrity by ensuring all trust transactions are processed, reconciled, and reported in line with legislative requirements and internal controls.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Daily reconciliation of 3-way trust balances, identifying discrepancies and working with operational teams to resolve them
  • Managing daily trust banking, night audit processes, and revenue checks across systems including SIHOT and Reapit
  • Processing rental receipts, deposits, and owner charges, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Completing mid-month drawdowns and end-of-month processes, including owner statements and bank transfers
  • Supporting finance and property teams with system updates, postings, and general administrative duties

What are we looking for

  • Strong understanding of QLD trust accounting principles and relevant legislation (Agents Financial Administration Act, Property Occupations Act, Residential Tenancies Act)
  • Proven experience in trust accounting, and accounts administration within a property management environment
  • High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Experience with systems such as SIHOT, Reapit, Oracle or similar (highly regarded), complemented with strong excel skills
