As our Venue Manager at Sports Bar, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be invaluable to our Food & Beverage department.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be accountable for all operations of your venue, creating a unique dining experience for our guests, take good care, and lead a dynamic team with integrity.

A few of your responsibilities:   

  • Managing day-to-day operations of a unique venue offering including coaching and development of all team members
  • Planning and executing bespoke events in line with guest experience strategy leveraging supplier partnerships
  • Reviewing and analysing the daily operational needs; maintaining food and beverage, labour, product, and expenses on budget
  • Leading and motivating the team to continuously deliver guest experience in line with our service culture
  • Manage the selection, training and development of all team members to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Overall responsibility for financial KPOs and KPIs relating to gross revenue, costs of goods sold, employee costs and other operating costs in line with budget
  • Accurate forecasting of business activity and associated costs
  • Assist the Marketing division in formulating marketing strategies including identifying target markets, pricing and product development and implement sales and promotion programmes
  • Oversee staff rosters ensuring that The Star Enterprise Agreement, policies and procedures and statutory requirements are adhered to

What we are looking for:   

  • Extensive management experience in high-end restaurants, executive lounges, or bars
  • A passion for the hospitality industry
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverages
  • Proactive and well-rounded leader who can empower and encourage the team to deliver a personalised and professional service to all guests. 
  • Confidence to lead a large and diverse team across a 24/7 roster
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Hands-on operational approach with passion for developing your career
