As our Controls Officer role, reporting to the Controls Manager, you will assist in the delivery and management of the controls library and register and test controls using a risk-based approach.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute significantly to the overall stability and success of the company by ensuring compliance, mitigating risk and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of organisational operations.

 

A few of your responsibilities:

 

  • Implement processes to improve controls for adequate risk and compliance management
  • Manage the effectiveness of remediation and control uplift activities resulting from audit, external review, and regulatory findings.
  • Support business leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks in line with risk management framework, policies, ICMs and SOPs and the control standard 
  • Report the outcomes of control testing
  • Conduct regular risk and control self-assessments and document/report remedial actions as appropriate and in conjunction with business leaders 

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in a legal, commercial, or business field highly desirable
  • Previous experience in developing, uplifting, testing and improving controls processes, including control design, implementation, and ongoing management
  • Experience as a Risk Operations Controls Officer, Risk or Compliance Officer within a large, complex, highly regulated organisation
  • Previous understanding and experience in implementing business drivers for problem-solving
  • Ability to interpret data and information and provide audit reports and analysis on the business

You exhibit a ‘can-do’ attitude and have excellent process mapping and communication skills. You have solid best practice and industry experience and are eager to contribute your skills and ideas.

 

Your role will be pivotal to maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality relating to sensitive information and investigations.
