The Star Brisbane is looking for a Housekeeping Services Supervisor to join the Housekeeping Leadership Team!

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.  

The Housekeeping Services Supervisor reports directly to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day cleaning operations within the Hotel and ensuring guests’ privacy and security at all times.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Ensure tasks are allocated correctly and fairly during the room allocation process.
  • Conduct morning briefing in absence of the Assistant Manager
  • Ensure all relevant information is shared with all Team Members - VIPs, Cots, Rollaway beds.
  • Update daily records and enter data sheets accurately.
  • Support the team during peak periods and inspect guestrooms as directed by housekeeping leader
  • Identify training needs for the department.
  • Perform room spot checks and ensure all room are checked to hotel standards.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise turndown service requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a similar position is desirable
  • Previous experience in a 5 Star Property
  • Supervisory experienced in the Hospitality Industry
  • High level of communication and organizational skills
  • Property Management System: Opera experience desirable
  • High level of computer literacy
