As our Head of Cyber Operations reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for leading and advancing The Star Entertainment Group’s cyber defence capabilities through strategic oversight, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will drive the development and execution of the Cyber Resilience Operations Strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory obligations, and evolving threat landscapes.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Design and maintain the incident response framework, including processes and plans that align with business needs and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring service levels and incident response targets are met.
- Oversee analysis and investigation of security events including antivirus, IPS, firewall alerts, DLP incidents, proxy logs, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Drive continuous improvement of SOC tooling and automation, including SIEM, EDR, and related platforms.
- Provide leadership and coaching to a diverse team, fostering growth and capability across varying experience levels.

- Demonstrated ability with preparing presentations and reports
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across business and technology staff
- Demonstrated experience in delivering communications and training activities
- Demonstrated ability to understand and manage process documentation
- Leadership and motivational capabilities in a high stress environment
- Accredited tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology, Business or a related industry certification
