As a HR Business Partner, reporting to the General Manager People Operations, you will collaborate closely with The Star Gold Coast’s operational leaders and align them to the wider people strategy, as well as lead the Employee Relations function for the property.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in an exciting transformation of our business, reshaping how we operate between centralised and decentralised models. In this hands on role, you will have one direct report, and play a pivotal role in performance management and all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring regulatory and governance requirements are met. You will also collaborate closely with the broader People Operations team to drive impactful change.  

A few of your responsibilities 

  • Conduct regular meetings with leaders to offer advice and support all people requirements 
  • Oversee and manage Employee Relations support to the property, providing guidance on Employee Relations matters, policies and complex people matters
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs, supporting organisational change and driving key People initiatives
  • Coach, develop, and empower leaders, educating them on ways of working and with various tools and aides
  • Manage and support on various projects and change management

What we will be looking for

  • Proven experience in a similar HR Business Partner role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment 
  • Solid knowledge of Employee Relations including current workplace legislations, industrial instruments (Enterprise Agreements an advantage) and relevant regulations 
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology or Organisational Development 
  • Strong relationship-building, coaching, influencing, and communication skills 
  • A proactive partnering approach, driven by a self-starter mindset and a positive, can-do attitude
