As our Public Relations Executive, reporting to the Partnerships & Public Relations Manager, you will drive earned media coverage that enhances The Star Gold Coast’s reputation by driving awareness of key partnerships and activations through strategic storytelling, content creators and media engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will shape the voice of one of Australia’s premier entertainment destinations, working across high-profile events and activations.
Please note that this role is a 12-month contract.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Develop and pitch consumer-focused media stories aligned with brand priorities
- Manage external PR relations to amplify resort initiatives and strategic partnerships
- Coordinate media opportunities including interviews, photo shoots, and events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, talent and influencers to generate a drumbeat of positive coverage and content
- Monitor media coverage and prepare monthly PR performance reports
What we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in consumer Public Relations or MarComms
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in tourism, hotel, or hospitality field
- Established media and influencer network
- Understanding of local and national media landscape, pop culture and trends
- Bachelor of Business/PR/Media or related discipline, highly regarded
