We are now seeking expressions of interest for part-time Count Cashiers looking to be part of The Star Brisbane Team.

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

As a Count Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of cash transactions within our world-class gaming operations. This physically demanding role works under constant camera and audio surveillance so a high attention to detail is crucial. 

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will lead with integrity, ensuring compliance in all aspects of your role.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Collection of the drop boxes and note stackers from the gaming machines and table games
  • Sorting, counting and verifying the contents of the drop boxes and note stackers while maintaining accurate reports
  • Pre-shuffle and pre-check the new and recycled playing cards
  • Destruction of used gaming equipment (including playing cards)

What we will be looking for

  • Strong mathematical skills and aptitude for cash handling
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism

Availability for early morning starts each day including weekends and public holidays (4.30am starts)

With experience in handling large volumes of cash accompanied with an eye for detail and exceptional communication skills, you’re poised to excel in this role.
