Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Lead Facilitator supports the learning and development delivery for The Star Gold Coast across our workforce of 2000 plus team members. With a strong emphasis on facilitation, this is a fantastic opportunity where you will contribute to the development of fun and interactive training programs that enhance capability, whilst meeting regulatory and governance requirements. 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Facilitate interactive and engaging learning sessions, where the workshops will range from Welcome Days and onboarding to technical skills, compliance, and leadership programs
  • Work with internal and external resources to progress elements of work to support the group strategy and deliver assigned elements of The Star’s remediation plan
  • Create and distribute communications to specific participant groups through various communication channels 
  • Respond to enquiries related to training and development 
  • Build effective relationships with team members and internal stakeholders that contribute to the ongoing creation of a high-performance culture 

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and/or Cert IV Training and Assessment 
  • Proven experience facilitating learning programs for diverse cohorts including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds 
  • Practical tourism, hospitality and/or events industry knowledge and experience 
  • Experience in designing and managing training programs within a regulated industry highly regarded
  • Ability to thrive in a highly regulated, complex and dynamic change environment 
  • Strong technical skills including experience use Microsoft apps such as Teams, Sharepoint, Excel, Forms and Word

This role will suit someone who has exceptional facilitation skills and is comfortable leading and hosting numerous weekly professional training events. You will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of training initiatives for The Star Gold Coast. Your strong communication and organisational skills you will help ensure that the training needs of our Team Members are met.
