As our Senior Risk Advisor, reporting to the Head of Risk Brisbane, you will be developing, implementing, and monitoring risk and compliance programs to allow for the effective management of The Star Brisbane’s material risk exposures with the aim of meeting our strategic goals.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a pivotal part in supporting the whole risk function to deliver the improvement framework.

 

A few of your responsibilities  

 

  • Support the property Risk function in delivering improvement milestones.
  • Provide support to the business operations in delivery of improved Risk Management Frameworks and systems to meet those milestones.
  • Provide support and subject matter expertise to assist with development of training programs and workshops.
  • Provide support to develop a suite of reports for the Risk function.

 

What we are looking for 

 

  • 5+ years of risk management, advisory or consulting experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, finance or other relevant field
  • Excellent understanding of risk management frameworks, concepts, and tools
  • Experience in risk standards, guidelines, and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

 

You are a seasoned professional with a proven ability to work autonomously, coupled with extensive expertise in risk management across various domains within the organisation. With a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of risk frameworks, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks, compliance, and control activities. Working independently, you will meticulously analyse data, assess potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
