LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR – LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

As our Learning & Development Facilitator, reporting to the Star Academy Manager, you will deliver The Star Entertainment’s learning and development strategy that supports our risk culture and compliance needs through workshop facilitation. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a facilitator superstar to create dynamic learning experiences that contribute to the professional growth and effectiveness of The Star’s workforce. 

 

 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Facilitate interactive and engaging learning sessions, where the workshops will range from Welcome Days and onboarding to guest experience, technical skills, compliance, and leadership programs.  

  • Evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making continuous improvements. 

  • Tailor programs to provide context to each audience group, ensuring participants are clear on how to apply the learning in their role. 

  • Manage logistical aspects of workshops including scheduling, resources, and participants communications. 

  • Work closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to understand the impact of training and where improvements can be made for future. 

  • Provide one-on-one coaching or additional support to participants as needed for optimal skill development. 

 

What we will be looking for:

  • Extensive experience in Learning & Development facilitation in the service/hospitality industry or regulated environment (virtual and in-person). 

  • Ability to align training initiatives with Australian regulatory goals and the overarching training dominance framework. 

  • Experience in successfully developing and delivering training programs that uplifts leaders and team members’ capability as part of regulatory and governance requirements. 

  • Interpretation of the Australian Casino Control Acts, associated regulations, and compliance requirements. 

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant field with Certificate IV in Training (e.g., Learning and Development, Organisational Psychology, Adult learning)  

 

About you:

You are a seasoned facilitator with in-depth knowledge of risk culture and compliance to carry out learning workshops supporting The Star’s regulatory requirements. Relationship building comes naturally to influence, inspire, and motivate individuals, and you have a proven track record in designing compliant training initiatives within an effective training governance framework.
