EVENTS MANAGER – HOSPITALITY MARKETING

As our Events Manager, reporting to the Head of Partnerships & Eventing you will complete the ticketing and event operational requirements of both internal and external business and private concerts, events and functions ensuring organisational objectives are adhered. Additionally, you will process all concerts and event bookings from handover to end, liaising with the end client throughout the process and undertaking all ticketing requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will promote customer relations through the provision of excellent service, a courteous attitude and work efficiency.

 

A few of your responsibilities

  • Drive Event Centre revenue through concert sales, ensuring profitable commercial benefits for The Star Event Centre
  • Manage concert related cost effectively to drive profitably for concert events within the Event Centre
  • Provide leadership and direction regarding the operational aspects of the event implementation, ensuring customer service, budgetary requirements and operational requirements are met.
  • Accurately define the requirements as outlined by sales, internal client or manager for confirmed events and ensure the event is delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Determine both internal and external customers’ requirements and provide quality service and product delivery to encourage repeat patronage of customers.

 

What we are looking for

  • Experience in event management (minimum 10 years) Casino or large hospitality experience preferred.
  • Understanding of casino rules and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular, the Liquor Act, the Responsible Service of Alcohol programme, Industrial Relations laws and OH&S laws.
