What we are looking for

As a Security Operation Manager you will be responsible for providing leadership and managing security operations on a shift by shift basis ensuring the protection of The Stars patrons, staff, integrity & assets and the provision of high level customer service.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Support the Director of Security in the development and implementation of the business plans and the achievement of the Security department’s strategies
  • Assist in the formulation of measures to enhance protection of Company assets
  • Implement strategies to identify and reduce incidents of theft, assaults, vandalism, disorderly conduct and all other illegal and undesirable activities within The Star complex
  • Implement strategies to ensure The Star Security customer service targets are achieved
  • Provide direction and support to the department to ensure an integrated system of employee relations and performance while ensuring organisational objectives are prevalent in any new initiatives
  • Co-ordinate evacuation and disaster recovery processes within The Star and liaise with all emergency authorities ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures and statutory requirements
  • Liaise with the business to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met for the provision of security labour, both employee and contractors, during special events and functions
  • Manage security contractors ensuring the provision of service meets company compliance standards and departmental objectives
  • Review and analyse the day to day operational needs
  • Make recommendations to minimise cost throughout the department in order to meet company and divisional budgets, as appropriate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous 3 years experience in a leadership role where you were responsible not only for planning and resourcing of your team but also controlling labour costs and operating expenses
  • Cert 4 in Risk Management
  • Current NSW Security Industry Licence
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability in controlling labour costs and operating expenses
  • Strong ability to build rapport and relationships with stakeholders
