As the Demi Chef in our Events kitchen, you will support our Chef de Cuisine, Jose Soulard, ensuring consistency in high-quality product and service standards. Collaborating with our talented chefs, you will contribute to the creation of innovative and flavorful culinary experiences that leave a lasting impression.
A few of your responsibilities
- Assist the leadership team with the day-to-day running of the Events kitchen
- Take ownership of your designated workstation
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchen
- Support the Apprentice and Commis' Chefs in the brigade
What are we looking for
- Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Full work rights and flexible availability over a 7-day roster
- Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, international cuisines, and food preparation methods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Passion for culinary arts and a drive for continuous learning and improvement
