We are looking for a Commis Chef to help deliver a memorable experience to our Sokyo guests while maintaining high standards of service. This is an opportunity to be mentored by some of the best chefs in the industry, learn new techniques and be part of our Culinary team in Sydney!

Awarded One Chef’s Hat for seven consecutive years by the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide, Head Chef Chase Kojima and his team use the finest local produce to create an imaginative Japanese-inspired menu.

The ideal candidate will be someone with:

  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery
  • Have experience working in a busy and fast-paced kitchen
  • The ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate and work as part of the team
  • Have the right "can do"-attitude and willingness to learn new cuisines and techniques.
  • Possesses full working rights to commit to 38 hours per week on a rotating roster that can include mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
