Join our team as a Porter at The Star Brisbane & Treasury Brisbane.   

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.  In your role you will initially have the opportunity to work across Treasury Brisbane whilst being involved in the opening of The Star Brisbane.  

As the primary point of contact for our valued guests and visitors, you'll have the chance to channel your passion for exceptional customer service, crafting an unforgettable and distinctive experience. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our hotel team.  

A few of your responsibilities   

  • Transport and store luggage as required by guests  
  • Ensure efficient and courteous handling of all guest arrivals and departures  
  • Ensure all guest enquiries and requests are handled professionally  
  • Ensure familiarity with hotel, including guest rooms, restaurants, bars, convention and casino  
  • Ensure familiarity with current and forthcoming in-house events and special events in the community  

What we will be looking for?  

• A sincere dedication to delivering exceptional customer service 
• Prior experience in a similar capacity  
• Valid driver's licence  
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills  
• Affinity for the Brisbane area, including knowledge of the local community and its surroundings 
• Strong organizational skills for coordinating guest requests and tasks  

About You 

The successful candidates will have a proactive approach to guests and will understand our guests' needs. You will be adaptable as the responsibilities of a Porter can be diverse. From delivering luggage to guest rooms, parking or retrieving guests vehicles, to offering insights on local attractions and events.

About us  

The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.    

When complete, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.    

Our current property, Treasury Brisbane, showcases old-world opulence of a five-star hotel, the nonstop excitement of Brisbane’s only 24-hour casino, the thrill of live entertainment, the glamour of exclusive events and the tantalising taste of unique restaurants. Treasury Brisbane will transition into The Star Brisbane aligned to an early 2024 opening.
