As our Group Manager, People Projects & Change, you will report to the General Manager of People Consulting & Projects and will closely partner with the People and Performance team and business leaders to scope, plan and work with and through your team to execute on projects aligned to the People & Performance roadmap and organisational objectives.

 

Your ability to streamline key initiatives into manageable packages of work while enhancing the value drivers associated with the People & Performance service offering will see you be successful in this role.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to create impact by supporting the continuous improvement of people systems and processes including risk and governance-related procedures, legislative and change processes, remediation activities and cultural reform.

 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Build long-term working relationships with the People & Performance senior leadership team and key business stakeholders to assist in effective project management practises and the successful delivery of people and change projects.
  • Leverage business SME’s and project knowledge to understand strategic objectives and functional priorities to proactively manage the delivery of activities that align and contribute to success.
  • Work with stakeholders to scope project requests and present them to the Leadership team for endorsement.
  • Lead, coach and guide the project team, establish clear roles and responsibilities, project plan timelines, budgets, and measures of success.
  • Collaborate with The Star’s Transformation Office to ensure alignment of People projects to the Remediation and Organisational Transformation Plan.
  • Produce timely and effective project status and pipeline reporting for leadership teams and sponsors.

 

What we will be looking for:

  • Knowledge of the employee lifecycle components and contemporary HR practises.
  • Experience either in combination of the following fields, Human Resources, Project Management and/or HC Consulting.
  • Strategic mindset and pragmatic approach.
  • Effective stakeholder management within a large and matrix environment.
  • Proven team leadership and demonstrated record of managing various projects at one time.
  • Energetic change ambassador.

 

About you:

You are a seasoned professional who has led people-related projects and transformations in a complex and highly regulated environment. You hold solid stakeholder engagement skills at the senior leader level and are comfortable engaging and managing a variety of resources including external vendors.
