As a Category Manager, you will handle the procurement workstream for construction and hard services, ensuring the business is enabled to achieve agreed business requirements. You will be an influential individual working autonomously yet collaboratively, driving efficiencies and delivering value for money from Supplier negotiations evidenced by cost reductions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead end-to-end procurement lifecycle and develop robust category plans. Join us as you utilise your soft skills and technical know-how in regard to category management & contract negotiation.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust category plans and sourcing strategies based on stakeholder requirements, market research & your experience to drive efficiencies and achieve value for money outcomes.
  • Identify, develop and lead end-to-end sourcing activities and approach to market to deliver efficiencies and value for money for the business while mitigating risks.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies and lead negotiations on complex, high impact and challenging supply arrangements.
  • Provide market and competitor analysis and insights, including key implications and recommendations.
  • Encourage innovation whilst identifying and manage commercial, contractual, operational and ethical risks.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, sourcing and category management, with a focus on hard FM services.
  • Sound knowledge in construction, engineering, supply chain, FMCG, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering significant, ongoing commercial benefits for the business.
  • Experience in a complex environment with commercial exposure to categories with a large number of suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

You excel in communication, negotiation, and analysis, coupled with an extensive grasp of the complete procurement lifecycle. Your proactive problem-solving approach shines in dynamic, fast-paced environments, driving success.

Your role will be pivotal in orchestrating cost efficiencies and enhancing value within specific categories for our internal stakeholders. You'll cultivate relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance, driving our success forward.
