As our Senior Manager, Safer Gambling, reporting to the Group Manager, Responsible Gambling you will lead the existing NSW Responsible Gambling team and assist in driving the long-term development of the program towards an industry leading position.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will support the Group Responsible Gambling team with the maintenance of policies and related materials which set out responsible gambling controls.

 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational teams across The Star Sydney to cultivate skills and cultural perspectives that support the optimal implementation of The Star's Responsible Gambling strategy
  • Ensure adherence to The Star Entertainment Group's Code of Conduct, internal policies, procedures, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and report on the responsible gambling program budget for The Star Sydney, alongside the Group Responsible Gambling Team
  • Report to the Board/Committee for meetings related to the responsible gambling program activity
  • Develop and implement training programs covering various skill development areas, such as basic Responsible Gambling (RG), advanced Responsible Gambling Liaison Officer (RGLO) packages, and key guest support officer skills development packages.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and focus, consistently striving to seize opportunities and achieve superior outcomes for The Star
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability for delivering on commitments and achieving desired outcomes
  • Displaying self-awareness through leadership behaviours, demonstrating authenticity, and practicing self-leadership
  • At least 10 years of experience in a casino environment with a focus on managing vulnerable guests and leading teams within an organisation with a significant program aimed at safer gambling
  • Extensive experience in leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a responsible gambling program within a complex organisational setting

As an experienced Senior Manager in Responsible Gambling, you will have excellent leadership skills. You are team oriented and able to supervise, mentor and coach direct reports. Your ability to lead changes and outcomes will be key to delivering the Star Entertainment Group’s vision, brand and values.
